If you're like us, you're skeptical of any new product. In the world of poker software, there are so many options out there that the line between a helpful piece of software and a lemon can sometimes get a bit blurry. This is in part why PokerSoftware created our Recommended Software program, to help direct readers to the top titles in the industry.
One of the newest pieces of Recommended Software on our site is NoteCaddy Advantage. We can tell you that this MTT tool will bump your win rate at the virtual tables, but rather than hear it from us, PokerSoftware went to Two Plus Two.
There, we chose a few comments that illustrate just how profound of an impact NoteCaddy Advantage can have on a player's game.
If you're not familiar with NoteCaddy Advantage, you'll get a custom definition package with 100 notes scripted from the ground up, video tutorials outlining the merits of each note, and an attentive support staff.
"I purchased the NoteCaddy Advantage package two months ago," wrote one Romanian player on Two Plus Two. "When I bought it, I had no idea if it would improve my win rate. It took me a few days to figure out how to set up and use it, but after that, I managed to double my win rate by improving my non-showdown winnings."
The same poster concluded, "The most helpful stuff in NoteCaddy Advantage in my opinion are the badges that show clear spots with which you can exploit other players and the vs Hero stats."
NoteCaddy Advantage developer "Alan Jackson" chimed in on Two Plus Two saying that the badge system is one of the most useful components of the software: "Finding opponents' clearly exploitable folding frequencies is the primary focus of our badge system. I think our system of badges has done what was intended and is responsible for the change in my showdown winnings. I think our package of additional stats along with range and spark graphs have given me the additional information I need to maintain my showdown winnings while bluffing at a significantly higher frequency."
A poster from Chicago shared his experience using NoteCaddy Advantage: "I've been using the pack… and it has definitely been worth the money. The badges are useful, especially at the smaller sites and if you play a large volume of hands. They definitely will show you some good spots to make plays. One that I like is 'Folds to 3bet When Raising Limpers.' That's something you can't find in the Holdem Manager HUD."
One poster on Two Plus Two with well over 5,000 posts heralded, "The package goes a very long way handing out pieces of gold with every click of the mouse. Many spots and situations that I have always been 'guessing' as to what the correct action was have been eliminated by the clear and reliable information that NCA provides. The badges, along with the pop-ups Alan has created, allow you to access your opponents' flaws with greater accuracy and detail and speed."
Finally, a Canuck praised the developers of NoteCaddy Advantage: "I bought the package earlier this week and I'm really impressed by the quality and how much work was put into this. This is definitely something that I wish my opponents at the table didn't use, as it can give you a huge edge vs other regs. Good job guys."
For NL25 games, NoteCaddy Advantage will run you $60. For games up to NL50, the software will set you back $108. An NL100 version of NoteCaddy Advantage runs $180, while pricing for NL200 to NL400 is two full stacks. You can learn more by clicking here.
